Version 1.5

Good news everypony, version 1.5 is finished and ready for downloading!

Here's the new stuff:
  • Improved Collision: Some general bugfixes but I especially improved the collision when ponies are flying to other windows. Twilight should be no longer falling down every time she teleports somewhere and action chains that involve flying to another window should no longer be interrupted
  • Support for multiple monitors can be activated in the main menu
  • I've written a program that has cut away all the useless transparent borders from the gifs. There were quite a lot so it should be a little performance improvement as well as better looking. Some ponies (like Filly Twilight, for instance) had big borders which made them look like they were flying. I hadn't time to check every single gif, so if you find any bugs or problems my script has created, please inform me.
  • Rocky from Party of One. Credit to Harley!
  • Better looking speech bubbles that are now moving with the ponies. Credit goes to Moonbeam from Ponychan for creating the templates for the mane 6. I've written and included a program for you to create your own speech bubbles.
  • You can now move the "line" where collision begins. Some images (like Luna or Sweetie Belle sleeping) have the problem that the tail is under the feet. When collision begins where the image begins, it looks like the pony is flying. I'm pretty sure I didn't find all images that have this problem, write me a mail or use the built-in feedback button if you find any.
  • INTERACTIONS! well, kind of.... Actually, the code is complete and fully functional, but I didn't have time to add any to the pony.ini files, so you'll either have to add them by yourself or wait for the next version, sorry.
  • Jorlem requested a button to instantly select the mane 6, so I included one :)
  • Thanks to Moonbeam, Pinkie Pie has learned how to shatter the laws of our dimension to teleport around.
  • Settings are no longer saved in the Appdata folder. I didn't like the behavior of .NET to create a file outside of the application's folder, so I manually coded a mechanism that saves to a file within the same directory where the .exe is located.
  • Settings like enable/disable speaking no longer require a restart of the application. They work immediately.

    It's super cute! I have a feature request: what about an option to make them 50% smaller (half their size)? I'd like them better, they would also look less pixel-ish. Also, they would take less space on smaller screens (I use a netbook with a 1024x600 screen resolution).

    Of course the user could also leave them their normal size.

    Hey I really like that idea - I'll see what I can do.

    Until then, you could just scale down the images manually. As long as you don't change their names, everything should work fine.

    Whenever I enable multi-screen support if a pony moves to my second screen and isn't on a window it'll fall below the screen and pull a maxValue error (must be greater than zero). If I don't enable multi-screen support and move one there they fall off the second screen and drop down from the top of the first screen (without crashing). I've got screenshots if you need them.

    this is a known bug - I'm working currently on fixing it. Unfortunately things are going very slow because I only have one screen and always have to send the program to somepony else for testing.

    I've only got two screens (as opposed to testing it with three or more) but if you need another tester I can try to help. I've got a Derpymail.com E-mail address which is Halifax@that domain, if you do need another tester. OLOL super clever spam filter. ^_^

    So I heard you like Scratch? She is getting implemented right now and will be in the next version :)

    Also: sorry but this will stay a Windows-only application. I simply don't have the additional time for supporting other OSes (plus I don't have a Mac)

    A couple of missing ponies actually. They're the ones I know of. But other then that, it's a very good application. Especially useful for ticking off my non-brony/anti-brony friends ;)

    Sorry, I can't make a Mac (or any other OS) version because I simply don't have the time.

    My fav is an earth pony, but she doesn't do much but walk left and right. Maybe if you could add some jumping on things close. Also would it be possible to add icons to the interactions?

    How does the 'creating your own speech bubbles' work? I have made two extra for rainbow and fluttershy via the maker, saved them under their folders and added them to the 'pony' notepad things, where it says 'random action'; however, none of them have said anything I wrote. A little help? Thanks! <3

    How do I do ALL of this, I downloaded the ponies, and it took me to a WinRAR, and all it shows is the seperate GIF's. I want to put several ponies on my desktop, how do I do it?

    I came back to see if there was another update and the download was broken! Luckily I still have my copy and I'll share it with ya'll (much better program than Desktop Ponies in my opinion)
